Inspired by 19th century salon painting, artists Esther Zahel, Maximilian Helk, Josef Köstlbacher and Timur Lukas will realise an exhibition in the Kunstarkaden. True to the loosely translated motto ‘Exposition d’art contemporaine’, the exhibition will deal with a wide variety of subjects, just like their colleagues in the 19th century. Each of the exhibiting artists specifies a theme. Together with the art space management, they curate an area of the Kunstarkaden with the works of the other artists as well as their own. The artist acts as co-curator and compiles a selection from the portfolio of the others, decides on the hanging of the works and the interventions in the space.
