A breath of fresh air for the art market: at HIGHLIGHTS International Art Fair Munich from 18 to 23 October, the online gallery WUNDERKUNST will enable young art talents to enter the market of collectors and art lovers. For the second time, the HIGHLIGHTS LAB x WUNDERKUNST will open its doors to visitors at the Munich Residenz. They are invited to meet young artists – including a creative change of perspective. The focus is on topics such as sustainability and dealing with isolation and fears, as well as gender equality and myths of masculinity.
The aim of WUNDERKUNST is to promote young talent in the visual arts and their creative positions. The online gallery and art community aims to open up the art market – for up-and-coming artists, but also for a broader, younger audience. The HIGHLIGHTS LAB x WUNDERKUNST exhibition space showcases the works and projects of up-and-coming artists and master students – including new discoveries that have been curated for the first time. The works were selected by Mon Muellerschoen, Art Consultant and founder of WUNDERKUNST: ‘Young artists never cease to inspire me. They are the first to try out new concepts and explore scenarios that are already in the field of society, politics and science, but are not yet tangible. Inspiring changes of perspective are often first realised by artists before the rest of society dares to do so.’
